Porn star Tera Patrick has joined the development team for Saint’s Row 2 at Volition – with nothing less than being a “special producer”.
THQ, Saint’s Row 2 publisher, announced Tera Patrick’s involvement in the game will “bring her one-of-a-kind special touch to the project as the game nears release on October 14th”. Though no further news of her role in development have been revealed, she’ll be meeting with fans to sign exclusive Saint’s Row 2 art at THQ’s Comic Con booth.
She’s one of the ‘elite’ porn stars to be a part of the “Century Club” – those with more than a hundred movies under her belt. THQ even promotes Tera to gamefans: “To see trailers of Tera Patrick’s movies, visit www.teratrailers.com.” Thanks for the link, THQ!! Not for minors of course.
The original Saint’s Row launched for the Xbox 360 in 2006, sold over 2 million copies and was received well by critics despite being labelled as another GTA-clone. THQ vehemently protests such a comparison though, and says that their game offers more “tongue-in-cheek … silly, over-the-top gameplay.” This, beside from having “a lot” of downloadable content, a “larger, richer environment,” a unique combat system and a “seamless” two-player co-op mode.
Hmm, if they have Tera Patrick on-board…I’d probably recommend having her full “hands-on” inside the game. Maybe get some GTA elements like Hot Coffee gameplay – make that an addition to the two-player coop mode. This aside from getting a full 3D representation of Tera Patrick complete with her signature moans and groans in-game. Whoa yeah.
Saint’s Row 2 is set for an October 14 launch on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
