Gamespot gave Metal Gear Solid 4 a perfect 10 in its review. This special privilege was also given to GTA4. What’s with the “fourth series” anyway? The return of Solid Snake in Guns of the Patriots for PS3 may have given new hopes to the console.

We kinda expected a lot of cutscenes. Of course, it’s a Hideo Kojima game. But they are so “seamless”, you won’t even be bored. “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the most technically stunning video game ever made. It’s also a fine example of storytelling prowess within its medium, combining gameplay and narrative so slickly and beautifully that it’s impossible to extricate one from the other. It’s likely you will emerge awestruck from your first play-through, wishing the experience would continue yet nonetheless satisfied with its conclusion.” writes Gamespot.
