Hellboy 2 toys ROCK!

Photobucket

That’s BPRD to you! (Best Plastic Rad Dolls!)Owe it to visionary director Guillermo del Toro to give justice and credence to Mike Mignola’s hellishly creative Hellboy series. From the comic books jumping into the big screen, all the fun, quirky characters are given the ‘loyal’ treatment and this time in the sequel, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Hellboy gets to drag half of his pals back into Hollywood! No, I’m not talking about adding 2 or 4 more of those human blue-suit-cannon fodder agents – here the cream of the crop BPRD (Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense) heroes really get into the fold. Well, ok, it’s just that ectoplasmic medium Johann Kraus who got added, as Abe and Liz Sherman reprise their roles once again. Adding in most of the BPRD heroes from the comics in this sequel would be too much to handle.

Anyway, as part of having the movie sequel released, Mezco‘s got their 7-inch toys out! Here are images and excerpts from their site:

Goblin- featuring a highly detailed sculpture, this character comes with a wagon with moveable wheels, a lantern, and two buckets.

And to top it all off…they got a Deluxe Angel of Death! Yeah it’s that crazy del Toro creature with a dozen eyes…

Deluxe Angel of Death

This deluxe figure stands over 13inches. From the mind of visionary director Guillermo del Toro, this hauntingly designed figure features an eyeless face, razor-sharp teeth, and poseable, eye-adorned wings that span approximately 10 inches. Intricately sculpted with a remarkable attention to detail, a must-have collectible for every Hellboy fan.

This item will ship in late October / early November

If you’re a big fan of the comic and the movie, or even just either one…aw, hell even if you’re just into collecting action figures – the detail, articulation, and accessories on these collectibles don’t disappoint!
