Deadpool comes back in Secret Invasion!

OUR favorite merc with the mouth, Deadpool, comes back in his own monthly series with DEADPOOL # 1. Taking over writing tasks however, is Daniel Way, instead of the daring Fabian Nicieza, who fought long and hard for Cable-Deadpool and its fans until the book finally got cancelled. Paco Medina gets the art chores this time, as Deadpool strikes back - right in the midst of Secret Invasion.

I’m eagerly looking forward to reading this series for several reasons:

1. It’s immediately tied-in with Secret Invasion, which I have been rabidly following.

2. Deadpool fanatic here.

3. I’m keen on seeing how another creative team can possibly TOP or MESS-UP what Fabian Nicieza had painstakingly (yet very much enjoyed) built - the fully insane, over-the-top, violent, and unpredictable character of Deadpool.

But I do hope those yellow boxes come back ; )

Deadpool # 1 gets to see the light of day on September 3, 2008.
