Batman superstar Christian Bale spent 4 hours behind bars in Belgravia police station in central London, Monday. This following allegations by his mother and sister that he assaulted them.
After getting the statement from Bale’s mother and sister last Monday and Tuesday, respectively, Belgravis police were finally able to get Bale’s statement. Apparently, a family feud about money had ensued. Bale’s sister, Jenny was asking him for £100,000 to help raise her children.
The 34-year-old Batman star is reported to have snubbed the plea and allegedly ‘pushed and shoved’ Sharon and his mother Jenny, 61, during a row in his suite at the Dorchester Hotel on Sunday night.
A source told The Sun: ‘Christian is a very wealthy man and was asked to help his sister out financially.
‘He was asked to loan her £100,000 but he refused and it caused an almighty row.’
Jenny and Sharon Bale are said to be living in stark contrast to Christian’s Hollywood lifestyle, earning millions while they both survive on modest earnings.

Bale was said to have wanted to avoid the confrontation altogether by leaving the hotel room where they argued, but was trapped inside because of an army of paparazzi waiting outside. Aside from this, he’s also reported to have been suffering from insomnia and depression, notably over the death of friend and Dark Knight co-star, Heath Ledger.
